We had a small group of 3 photographers for this tour plus our guide, Dan. I had never been to Slovenia before and I had a great time. The weather was not cooperating in giving us snow but Dan worked very hard to find us quality locations to shoot every day. I feel like I saw a lot of the country and learned about it too. The bed and breakfast we stayed at was fantastic and I really thought everyone we encountered was great. What a beautiful country. Thank you for showing it to me.

This was a fabulous trip. The first day was amazing in the arena at Simitli and we didn't want to leave because we thought it couldn't get any better. But it did. It got better and better every day. The opportunities for photography that we were given were incredible. The experience of the Surva Festival in the small villages was completely magical and unforgettable. And due to the planning of Esenko and the skill of our guides, Dancho and Amadeja, we were able to get right in among the action for some fabulous photos. Looking back on our photos now we can hardly believe that we were really there.

One week of fascinating views in Durmitor and Biogradska Gora national parks. As Luka Esenko is an intimate connoisseur of the best photo spots in the region we got many top photos, even in less than ideal meteorological conditions. We also got in contact with local people who are very welcoming and friendly.

I had an opportunity to attend the Autumn in Slovenia photography workshop in October 2025 and I must say that it was exceptionally good! Slovenia is a very photogenic country and the autumn lights and leaves simply make it magical. Our guide, Jaka, worked really hard to make sure that we went to the right place at the right time for each stop. Each morning, he would religiously check five or six weather apps on his phone. Appreciating his efforts, even the weather cooperated most of the time.  Twice he took us back to the same respective spots because he thought the light conditions were not ideal the first time and on both occasions we had better conditions on our second visits. I was able to get more than one wall-hangers, by my standard of course, thanks to this trip. The hotels we stayed were clean and comfortable and all the local cuisines recommended by Jaka were excellent. All in all, this workshop has set a high bar against which all my future ones will be measured!

Esenko tours are lead by passionate photographers which makes the difference between good and excellent. The tour leaders go the extra mile to provide the best photo opportunities to their guests.

This was the first time I had with Luka. Luka has a great team. Everyone knows the places well. Each tour was thoughtfully organized. This was my first time to visit that region too, A truly beautiful place and such memorable tours. Thank you Luka and crew.

This was my second photo workshop with Luka. Every time it was really enjoyable experience. Everything was smooth end easy and Luka is very nice person, a real pleasure to deal with. Luca's workshops strike a good balance between service they provide and a decent price, it's a real bargain!
