Despite C19 putting a spanner in the works for the 2021 workshop that I was... read more meant to be on, the communication from Luka and his team was excellent and it was an easy decision to wait for the situation to settle and prepare myself for a great tour. Mainly focussed around the Julian Alp region, the workshop showed us some glittering sights of Slovenia, and as a host Luka was magnificent. The locations were exceptional, and with the constant changes of weather conditions Luka’s knowledge of the area and subject prevailed by having a flexible itinerary in order to capture the best places for the conditions. Whether it be trekking to frozen lakes, riding the dawn gondola with the ski resort’s supplies to catch the best sunrise, or going to small restaurants for the best Carniolian sausage Luka is your man! Would hesitate to recommend a workshop regardless of skill level or gear, as there wasn’t a hint of ego from anyone on the workshop.

For two widely-travelled Australians this tour was a revelation as we came to appreciate the beauty of the Slovenian landscape, the spectacular Plitvice Lakes and Krka National Park and cities of Split and Dubrovnic. What we appreciated most was Luka's ability to get us to the right location at the right time.
